Weeks before the January transfer market opened, the striker for Atletico Madrid, Antoine Griezmann, responded to his transfer link with Manchester United.
There have been rumors circulating for a while now that Manchester United is trying to get the adaptable French star to play at Old Trafford.
The lack of a successful striker is thought to be one of the main issues facing the Red Devils, and the France international has the experience to address the situation.
Regretfully, the 32-year-old striker stated in a French magazine interview that he had no intention of leaving Atletico Madrid.
Antoine Griezmann stated that one of the ways he plans to fulfill his dream of becoming a Spanish club icon is by staying on the team, Atletico Madrid.
“I have to earn myself to be a legend in this club,” Griezmann declared. That is my goal.
“I want to win some titles for Atlético and make the fans happy by 2024.” It would be fantastical.
Griezmann paid a €30 million transfer fee to move from Real Sociedad to Atletico Madrid in 2014. For a transfer fee of €120 million, he went to FC Barcelona in 2019. However, he didn’t stay there for very long because in 2021, he returned to Atletico on loan.
After the club paid €20 million to Barca in addition to the €10 million it had already paid Barca for his loan move in 2021, the France international returned to Atletico Madrid permanently in 2023.
Antoine Griezmann has led Atletico Madrid in all competitions this season with 12 goals and one assist. The club has a contract with him that expires on June 30, 2026.
