Wolverhampton Wanderers, a Premier League team, are interested in Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi because of his performance at Viktoria Plzen.
Rafiu Durosinmi is valued at £10 million, and Wolves, along with a number of other elite teams in Europe, notably Eintracht Frankfurt, are vying for his signature ahead of the January transfer window.
According to information obtained by Naija News, Wolves has identified the 20-year-old Nigerian striker as one of their top targets as head coach Gary O’Neil aims to bolster his squad with a new number nine in January.
The Wolves recruitment team has been routinely scouting Durosinmi this season. This week, they held new negotiations with Plzen, who leads the Czech Republic football league at the moment, about a possible deal.
Given that Wolves’ owner Fosun must tighten the club’s financial limits in order to meet the Premier League’s sustainability and profitability requirements, he is a good fit for the team’s needs both financially and on the field.
Three of Rafiu Durosinmi’s nine goals so far this season have come from the Europa Conference League.
Durosinmi’s suitors are reportedly considering offers of up to £10 million for Plzen, while Wolves are reportedly aware of rival teams’ interest, including Eintracht.
Wolves may not be able to complete a deal for the striker in January due to personal reasons, and Durosinmi is still recovering from a knee injury that will likely keep him out for another month.
However, Wolves are keeping an eye on things and intend to move forward with any potential transfers before the January transfer market opens.
