Ben Simmons, the point guard for the Brooklyn Nets, has suffered with injuries throughout his NBA career. This time, a solid start was ruined by yet another back injury—for the first time in years, he was healthy going into a season.
Before being injured once more, Simmons participated in six of the first seven games of the season. Due to a back injury, he would miss 38 games in a row until playing again against the Utah Jazz on January 29.
His performance was outstanding; with 10 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds, he almost achieved a triple-double. In 18 minutes of action, Simmons added one steal and one block, making for the best possible debut.
