The Dallas Cowboys boast one of the finest defenses in the NFL playoffs, with the San Francisco 49ers likely being the only club in the NFC with a stronger defensive right now.
One of the Cowboys’ primary concerns heading into this first-round battle with the Green Bay Packers is the health of veteran CB Stephon Gilmore, who has somewhat rejuvenated his career in Dallas this season.
Gilmore is now battling with a shoulder ailment that has raised questions about his availability for Sunday’s game against the Packers, since he did not practice on Wednesday.
According to Calvin Watkins of the Dallas Morning News, Gilmore claims to be feeling well right now, but he will most likely wear a brace on his shoulder in preparation for the Wild Card Weekend game against Green Bay in Dallas.
Stephon Gilmore stated that he feels OK and may wear a brace on his shoulder. He intends to play on Sunday.
Obviously, the Cowboys are a much better football club with the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year on the field, as he will make it much more difficult for Jordan Love to make an impact in this game with his receivers.
Even if Gilmore is unable to travel to Dallas for this playoff game, the Cowboys will have a strong chance of winning against the Packers, since Micah Parsons and company are unquestionably the stronger all-around football club.
Along with Gilmore, Dallas has some offensive line worries for Sunday’s game, with Zack Martin (illness) and Tyler Smith (foot) both listed as questionable.
