The New York Giants are rebuilding…
The 2022 New York Giants saw what seemed to be a significant setback in their efforts to bolster the roster following a strong 9-7-1 year.
Or did they? In an interview with the Locked On Giants podcast, former NFL defensive back and current broadcaster Solomon Wilcots expressed his opinion that, despite the setbacks that plagued the Giants’ 2023 season the previous year, they’re probably closer to being the team that finished 9-7-1. Wilcots has been heard on SiriusXM NFL Radio, among other places.
Wilcots makes a valid point when he points out that the Giants persevered and played hard all the way to the end despite their struggles with injuries and internal strife among the coaching staff. By the time they reached Week 10, their chances of making the playoffs had all but disappeared.
“It’s like the best college professors you had when you were in school during your formative years of growth,” he stated. The reason you might not have loved the process is because the people who are the most demanding are the ones who extract the most from you. You thank the instructors or professors who pushed you as you sit here now.
