All Lions: Betts Confident of Making Final Roster
Betts has had one past NFL shot, marking as an undrafted free operator with the Chicago Bears in 2019. After being incapable to split the ultimate list out of preparing camp, he took his gifts to the CFL where he was able to carve out a strong career.
“I’m energized for the opportunity to be able to compete and to undertake to create that program and I feel like I have a very good chance of doing it,” Betts said, through 3DownNation. “Especially within the NFL, that’s the program we were the foremost sure that I may that break. It was the primary workout that I had this low season and the chemistry, the vitality, the discourses I’ve had with the staff there fair felt right.”
Concurring to Hodge, Betts had other NFL openings that advertised ensured cash but chosen to bypass those and sign with Detroit.
Betts gone by and worked out for the group in December and felt comfortable with the association. After arranging the contract through the early portion of the offseason, he feels as in spite of the fact that he’ll be a great fit for Detroit’s defense.
“They saw my quality on film and that’s something that they truly preferred, that fit their group in terms of working difficult,” Betts said. “The one thing they told me that popped off film is they saw some person that was working difficult and after they got that box checked, at that point they begun looking at distinctive athletic capacities and football capacities.”
