SO SAD: THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS HAVE FINALLY GIVEN UP ON THEIR TOP…
The Milwaukee Brewers signed free agent Rhys Hoskins this offseason. He was likely the greatest first baseman available, but he was ruled out of the Philadelphia Phillies’ 2023 season after tearing his ACL during a spring training game. Last year, he attempted to return for the Phillies’ postseason run but was unable to.
Rhys Hoskins will remember March 23, 2023 as the day he had to be taken off the field after injuring his knee during a spring training game with the Philadelphia Phillies. He was diagnosed with an ACL injury and had surgery to fix it. Nearly a year later, he was the designated hitter for the Milwaukee Brewers, going 0-2 with a walk and one run scored.
Hoskins’ first at-bat in spring was a walk. He then had his knee examined while scoring from first base. Christian Arroyo hit a single, and an outfield error allowed Hoskins to go first to home.
According to Hoskins, the last major goal he wants to achieve is to be able to play on the field and fully trust his knee without thinking about it. He admits that he isn’t there yet, but he hopes to play the field soon and overcome this final hurdle.Call Mayfield Sports Marketing at 262-366-8188 to book Green Bay Packers players or alumni for a corporate event or product promotion.
