REPORT:The Detroit Lions have reached an agreement with the San Francisco 49ers .
Even though the San Francisco 49ers did not win the Super Bowl, the team’s future seems promising. To fix things, the front management must acquire Graham Glasgow from the Detroit Lions to provide more protection for Brock Purdy.
The 49ers were able to defeat a lot of opponents in the playoffs thanks to their third-ranked offense and defense among the NFL’s 32 clubs. These featured two tight wins over the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions.

After the smoke cleared, the 49ers discovered the Kansas City Chiefs on the opposite end of the field in Super Bowl LVIII. After a hard-fought match, the latter won in overtime by a score of 25-22.
After losing to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, the 49ers are now entering free agency, with numerous players expected to go. At the same time, the team is hoping to sign free agents for next season.
Graham Glasgow of the Lions, whose previous contract was worth $4 million, is one of the free agents San Francisco must examine. Aaron Schatz went deeper in his ESPN article:
“The 49ers need to rebuild their offensive line this summer with free agent signings and draft picks. Adding Glasgow would be a little component of the answer. Glasgow, who turns 32 in July, would very certainly be available on a short-term contract. However, he has extensive expertise with zone blocking, which is a mainstay of the 49ers’ attack.
Glasgow was second among all guards in run block victory percentage last season (77.2%). His pass block victory rate of 91% was ordinary, although it was higher than 49ers guards Aaron Banks (88.6%) and Spencer Burford (87.9%).
