Pittsburgh — The Pittsburgh Steelers had a presence on both sides of the field in Super Bowl LVIII, and with the Kansas City Chiefs winning back-to-back championships, two former Steelers received rings. Chris Oladokun, a former seventh-round pick, won his second Super Bowl with the Chiefs after joining the practice squad last season and remaining with the organisation through 2024. The quarterback has yet to participate in an NFL game, but he continues to help the Chiefs during practice. Throughout the broadcast, he was spotted working on the sideline with Mahomes and his teammates.
Defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs received his first Lombardi Award this season after joining the Chiefs’ practice squad late in the year. The former Lions starter was released last month before being scooped up by the Chiefs. He will now end the season as the Super Bowl champion. Buggs was the Steelers’ sixth-round pick and spent three seasons in Pittsburgh before being released. He later signed with the Las Vegas Raiders and subsequently the Lions. Throughout his career, he has started 23 games.
