Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler is the latest to be highlighed in Howard University’s sports department.
The men’s basketball team from Howard University was on its way to the Invesco QQQ Legacy Classic in Newark. The best historically black colleges and institutions (HBCUs) compete with the Bison squad.
Fortunately, Jimmy Butler, a star player for the Miami Heat, and his trainer Chris Brickley kept them company for some practice shots. The Heat play the Washington Wizards on Friday night.

Basketball players like Steph Curry, Luka Doncic, and Andre Iguodala have shown a great deal of interest in Howard in recent years. Many well-known names are coming to The Mecca to donate their sports teams as a result of the increased support for HBCUs. The men’s basketball team at Howard earned its first conference championship since 1992 last year. The most recent NBA player to be featured at the school’s stadium is Butler. The growth and development of the sport programs should be aided by this exposure.
Butler and the Heat are attempting to maintain their winning streak in the meantime after upsetting the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. Seven games had passed since they last won, four of which had come after they acquired star guard Terry Rozier. Butler finished with seven rebounds, six assists, and 31 points. He cited the team-oriented game of basketball as the secret to success.
In the postgame interview, Butler stated, “That’s the way we want to play.” “We’re going to win games in that manner. We have won games in this manner ever since I came here. We would like to carry on doing that.”
They will need that momentum on Friday night when they play the Wizards (9-38).
