BREAKING NEWS: Mike Tomlin Reportedly Agreed Tranfer with QB $17,8 million OC Trade…
In general, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a great season, the likes of which many other NFL clubs would be content to emulate. Despite all of their offensive flaws, coaching changes, and injury concerns, the Steelers managed to make it to the postseason and gave the Buffalo Bills a fight in their Wild Card Round loss. But, owner Art Rooney II of the Steelers wants his team to make it to the playoffs in 2024, and that means their quarterback play, which almost definitely still starts with Kenny Pickett, needs to significantly improve.
The Steelers clearly want to see their quarterback succeed, even though they may not have given him the best opportunity to do so—hence their decision to switch offensive coordinators in the middle of the season—but the 25-year-old quarterback doesn’t exactly rank among the best at his position in the NFL. “I think the biggest thing we need is quality play at the quarterback position,” Rooney said, according to Mark Kaboly of The Athletic. “But he knows he needs to work hard to take the next step, and we’ve talked about that.”
