Titans have signed Thomas Brown for new head coaching positoin…
Thomas Brown is attracting interest from head coaches for the third year in a row. The Titans have asked to speak with the offensive coordinator of the Panthers for their head coaching position, as reported by ESPN’s Kimberley A. Martin.
After making his way through the collegiate ranks, Brown was hired in 2020 to teach the running backs for the Rams. After receiving a promotion to associate head coach immediately, he was appointed tight ends coach. Brown was taken on as the offensive coordinator by Frank Reich, who was appointed head coach of the Panthers during the previous offseason.
With rookie quarterback Bryce Young at the controls in 2023, the Panthers offense struggled mightily. Reich eventually gave his offensive coordinator play-calling responsibilities, although he momentarily reclaimed them prior to his dismissal. Brown resumed calling plays under Chris Tabor, the temporary head coach. Despite the fact that the Panthers offense was among the worst in the NFL in most statistical categories, Brown was given a pass because of the staff’s instability. Nevertheless, it is unlikely that he will remain in Carolina in 2024.
Given his quick ascent, Brown has previously been considered for a head coaching position.
