MCKINNEY, Texas – One person was injured after a small plane crashed into a car in Texas Saturday afternoon.
Authorities say the single-engine Lancair plane crashed into a fence and hit a car at the Aero Country airport when it failed to reach the runway during an emergency landing.
McKinney Fire Department said its emergency crews arrived at the scene and evaluated the plane’s occupants as well as the car’s driver.
One of the victims was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are investigating the cause of the crash.
