After losing tight ends coach John David Baker to the East Carolina Pirates this summer, Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin is reportedly filling the position with an in-house hiring. According to FootballScoop.com, Kiffin is moving Kelvin Bolden, Ole Miss’ director of recruiting strategy, to tight ends coach.
Bolden graduated from Southern Miss in 2011 and joined the Ole Miss staff in March 2022 as the director of recruiting strategy. He previously worked at Central Florida as a wide receiver assistant coach and director of recruiting relations. He worked as an assistant director of player personnel under Dan Mullen at Florida in 2021 and as a graduate assistant with wide receivers at Arkansas in 2018 and 2019. When John David Baker accepted the post of offensive coordinator with the East Carolina Pirates at the end of the season, he relinquished the position of tight ends coach. Baker has completed his third season as an assistant coach at Ole Miss, working under Lane Kiffin.
