On Mikel Obi’s Obi One Podcast, former Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan coach Jose Mourinho revealed his all-time best eleven.
The great Nigerian retired midfielder was not considered good enough by Portuguese strategist Jose Mourinho, despite the fact that the star-studded roster on Obi’s podcast included Mourinho.
Remember that from 2006 to 2007 and again from 2013 to 2015, Mikel Obi was a player for Jose Mourinho. Together, they took home one Premier League title, two FA Cups, and two league cups.
The Portuguese tactician didn’t think it appropriate to include Obi in his all-time first eleven, which consisted of players he had previously coached, even though they had spent more than three years together.
Additionally, Mourinho left out every player he had coached at Tottenham Hotspur, even Harry Kane.
The majority of the players in Mourinho’s all-time starting lineup are former Chelsea players under his coaching, such as Didier Drogba and Claude Makelele.
He only selected three Real Madrid players and excluded superstars like goalkeeper Iker Casillas and defender Sergio Ramos. No player from Manchester United was featured.
Jose Mourinho’s all-time first eleven are listed below.
John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, Javier Zanetti, GK, and CB Petr Cech
LB: William Gallas CM: Frank Lampard CM: Mesut Ozil CM: Claude Makelele
