Led Zeppelin Announces Super Reunion Tour Featuring Judas Priest, Ritchie Blackmore and…

In what is already being hailed as the most monumental rock event of the decade, Led Zeppelin has officially announced a long-awaited reunion tour — and they’re not coming alone. Dubbed the **“Legends of Thunder” Tour**, this once-in-a-lifetime event will unite some of the biggest names in hard rock and heavy metal history, including Judas Priest, guitar virtuoso Ritchie Blackmore, and a rotating lineup of special guests spanning generations of rock royalty.

After years of speculation, denials, and hopeful rumors, Led Zeppelin is finally reuniting for a full-scale world tour. Surviving members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones will once again share the stage, joined by Jason Bonham, son of the late John Bonham, behind the drum kit. Though the band has performed sporadically since their 2007 reunion show at London’s O2 Arena, this marks the first time in over four decades that the legendary group will embark on a global tour together.

“This isn’t just a reunion — it’s a celebration of everything rock and roll has meant to us, and to generations of fans,” Robert Plant said in a press release. “We wanted to do something bigger than just a few dates. We wanted to bring together the icons, the influences, and the torchbearers.”

Joining Zeppelin on this historic tour is none other than Judas Priest, who are themselves celebrating their 50+ year legacy. With their own 20th studio album (Invincible Shield – Remixed) set to drop this November, the timing couldn’t be better. Frontman Rob Halford expressed his excitement, saying, “Touring with Led Zeppelin is beyond a dream. These are the guys who helped shape the genre we love. To share the stage with them is not just an honor — it’s a metal milestone.”

Adding even more firepower to the bill is Ritchie Blackmore, the legendary Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist known for fusing classical influences with hard rock edge. While Blackmore has mostly focused on his folk-rock project Blackmore’s Night in recent years, he’s confirmed a return to full-on electric rock performances for this tour. Expect blistering renditions of classics like “Smoke on the Water,” “Man on the Silver Mountain,” and perhaps even some surprises from his vast catalog.

The Legends of Thunder Tour promises a rotating lineup of additional icons and modern torchbearers, including rumored appearances from members of Black Sabbath, Heart, and even Metallica. Each show is expected to feature unique collaborations, jam sessions, and once-in-a-lifetime performances of classic songs, reimagined for modern audiences.

The tour kicks off in Los Angeles in June 2026, before heading to stadiums and arenas across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia. Promoters are already calling it one of the most ambitious rock tours ever organized, with high-production visuals, extended setlists, and even special acoustic segments planned.

While the tour is clearly a celebration of rock’s golden era, it’s also a powerful reminder of the genre’s enduring spirit. With so many legacy acts still performing at an elite level — and inspiring younger bands — the Legends of Thunder Tour may be the ultimate bridge between rock’s storied past and its still-burning future.

Tickets are expected to sell out in minutes when they go on sale next month. VIP packages, exclusive merchandise, and collector’s edition vinyls will also be released in conjunction with the tour.

In a music landscape often dominated by fleeting trends, Led Zeppelin’s return — bolstered by the sheer force of Judas Priest, Ritchie Blackmore, and their peers — serves as a thunderous reminder: true rock never dies.
