Judas Priest to Release Remix of Invincible Shield as 20th Studio Album This November.

Heavy metal titans Judas Priest are charging back into the spotlight once again with the announcement of their upcoming 20th studio album — a remixed version of Invincible Shield, set for release this November. Known for defining and redefining the metal genre for over five decades, the legendary British band isn’t content to rest on their laurels. Instead, they’re diving back into their latest material with renewed energy and vision, promising fans a fresh take on what was already one of 2024’s most talked-about metal releases.

Originally released in March 2024, Invincible Shield marked a triumphant return for Judas Priest, showcasing their trademark blend of searing guitar riffs, soaring vocals, and pounding rhythm. The album received critical acclaim for its ability to stay true to the band’s roots while incorporating modern elements, proving that even after 50 years, Judas Priest still had fire in their engines. Now, with this upcoming remix edition, the band is set to explore deeper sonic territory and offer a new perspective on a well-received collection.

According to a statement from the band, the Invincible Shield – Remixed album will feature not only reimagined versions of the original tracks but also include extended solos, alternate vocal takes, and previously unreleased material from the album’s sessions. Longtime producer and collaborator Andy Sneap returns to work with the band on this remix, ensuring that the updated sound maintains the power and precision fans expect, while introducing fresh textures and mixing techniques that breathe new life into the songs.

Frontman Rob Halford teased the project in a recent interview, saying, “When we finished *Invincible Shield*, we felt like there was more to explore in that world. This remix isn’t just polishing what we did — it’s tearing it apart and rebuilding it from the ground up. It’s raw, it’s heavy, and in some ways, it might even be more aggressive than the original.”

Guitarists Richie Faulkner and Glenn Tipton have reportedly added new layers to certain tracks, enhancing the twin-guitar attack that has long defined Judas Priest’s sound. Bassist Ian Hill and drummer Scott Travis, meanwhile, have laid down new grooves and fills that promise to make the rhythm section even tighter and more thunderous.

The remix album also marks a symbolic milestone — the band’s 20th studio release. It’s a testament to Judas Priest’s enduring legacy, adaptability, and relentless drive to evolve without abandoning the core essence of their sound. Few bands reach 20 albums; even fewer do so with the kind of consistency and intensity Judas Priest continues to deliver.

Set for release in November 2025, *Invincible Shield – Remixed* will be available in multiple formats, including deluxe vinyl editions, high-definition digital, and limited-edition box sets with exclusive artwork and behind-the-scenes content.

As the metal world braces for another sonic onslaught from the Metal Gods, one thing is clear: Judas Priest has no intention of slowing down — and their shield is more invincible than ever.
