Disneyland Resort is set to mark its 70th anniversary with a spectacular celebration that promises to enchant visitors from around the globe. Kicking off on May 16, 2025, and continuing through the summer of 2026, the festivities are themed “Celebrate Happy,” inviting guests to experience seven decades of joy and magic at The Happiest Place on Earth.
Highlights of the 70th Anniversary Celebration.
✨ “Paint the Night” Parade Returns.
A fan-favorite, the “Paint the Night” parade will return to Disneyland Park, lighting up Main Street, U.S.A., with vibrant colors and over a million LED lights. The parade features innovative floats and characters from beloved Disney and Pixar films such as “Monsters, Inc.,” “Cars,” “Toy Story,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and more.
“World of Color Happiness!” at Disney California Adventure.
A new nighttime spectacular, “World of Color Happiness!” will debut at Disney California Adventure Park. Inspired by Walt Disney’s words from the opening day park dedication, the show will explore the theme of happiness through a kaleidoscope of emotions, featuring music and moments from favorite Walt Disney Animation and Pixar stories.
“Wondrous Journeys” Nighttime Spectacular.
The beloved “Wondrous Journeys” nighttime spectacular will return to Disneyland Park, enhanced with fireworks on select nights. The show celebrates Walt Disney Animation Studios classics, highlighting moments from stories like “Hercules,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Peter Pan,” “Frozen,” “Big Hero 6,” “Moana,” “Encanto,” and more.
“Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” Parade.
The high-energy parade “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” will also return to Disney California Adventure Park. This parade features nearly 30 characters from Pixar films, including “Luca,” “Turning Red,” “Up,” and more.
New Character Experiences and Decor
New character experiences, including the debut of ShellieMay from the Duffy and Friends character group, will join the celebration. Additionally, the resort will be adorned with colorful decor, including a 50-foot sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle, festive banners, and special projections on the facades of iconic attractions.

To experience the 70th Anniversary Celebration, guests will need to obtain tickets and make reservations. Disneyland is offering special anniversary ticket deals, including three- or four-day tickets starting as low as \$100 per day for the four-day ticket with one park per day. Tickets are valid from May 16 through August 14, subject to reservation availability.
